Beautiful looking car, but the rear end is somehow underwhelming for the status and price differential of the 5.0 SC. It still looks Ewok rather than RRS.

I am trying to like it very hard, but the "old model" just looks so much more sorted at the back. Its like the designer ran out of ideas or finished it in a hurry....

Agree, I think the S/C should look more menacing from the back. Bigger tail pips for sure and maybe some different sculpting. I'm sure it will follow down the line. Like you BKHK, I'm coming around to them, but I just can't quite get there on the rear at the moment...... ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Can't see the point of looking more menacing from the back, but the front would be a different story Twisted Evil

The whole of it really should give more presence. Look at the BMW X5M and VW R50 wider arches, larger air intakes, big exhausts etc etc Current Volvo XC90 R Design T8

I think it's Firenze with black roof and body coloured side skirts. What interior did you go for?

Edit: that central section of the black rear bumper looks a bit odd. Is there a reason for this. I'm wondering whether the stainless steel scuff plate accessory would improved it or not. Mark

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Firenze Red

hi all,
it is Chilli Red, the sodium lights in show room make it look a little different, plate was acquired back in June in readyness for it. The rear panel is standard shiny black, the lines are reflection of floor tiles.

interior is ebony lunar with cirrus roof lining, was going to go ebony roof but changed late on incase it was too dark, but could have gone ebony and been ok i think.. with the blind open its the same colour glass anyway.

the beast just goes like there is no tomorrow, trying to go steady for a while but it's just so quick you are doing 80 before you can think about it

will rinse it off and put some pics up over weekend.

see there are some topics on tyre noise, yes i would say there is on the 22 inch contis, but not that intrusive, it is quieter in general than the TDV8, just got that glorious exhaust note to listen to.. if you have SC on order, you won't be disappointed! It brings a big grin every time I drive it, when following traffic at 50 mph, clear stretch of road, 2 clicks on left paddle and you're past them before you think about it. getting more used to the slightly larger size now, few minor adjustments to seating position and can now position on road where I want it to be, but it is blummin quick!
one small unfortunate occurrence, the gales last weekend blew something across the lower part of the tailgate, just above the bumper, got a slight scratch now but have all but polished it out. Sad
Have provoked a bit of tail slide drift on cold damp roundabouts with throttle but the vectoring soon sorts it out, and we are talking speeds that normal cars could only dream about... 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!

Fantastic - I think I am going to love it too. I just think the noise sounds awesome too.
Keep on enjoying it.
