Thanks Jim.

Yes we are.

Moving from a Disco 2 will be a fair step in all areas apart from space inside. We discussed it at length, Sorry for the pun, and the Sport is closer for more time to our requirements than a Disco 4. So the dog will have a bit less head room in the back but more floor area than the Disco. Then when it's just us two we get to enjoy the Range Rover and the Sport bit.

Its an interesting change from a Disco to Sport and not a D4...im going the other way from a sport to a D4 for all the opposite reasons of more space flexibility etc. Alas, ive still got to wait 1 more month until I get it though...but overall the package worked better

I suppose there is a difference between those that have a slot (as I did) and then spec an order and those that just walk in wanting a slot. September to March is still a fair wait, I thought October to January was bad. Mike

Our Disco 2 TD5 has had a couple of mods done and is around 70 hp better of. With the active rolls bars and uprated Koni shocks it is fun to drive and does surprise some drivers. The high driving position makes cross country driving easy and you can make progress in safety using the better visibility that comes with the height. So the Sport is that and more, much more.

We have no kids just a large dog (Landseer Newfoundland).

For us the D4 was too big. And sorry it does not float our boat with styling. The D5 or whatever it will be called should have the alloy build and better dynamics, so in a couple/three + years time may be a better car, but for now the Sport ticks more boxes.

We went over and over this, if the D4 was a better, more engaging drive it would have got our vote to.

At our stage of our life/careers this could be our last heart driven car buy so we are going for it. Ok its 74K of fun but you can't take it with you.

Just to explain the 74k bit, due to our profession we can get 7% discount.
