Weird question

As you can see from the photos my manifold is now being done.

My mechanic noticed that at the back
It has a "body shock absorber" either side.

But my front has th brackets but no shock absorbers?! Is it supposed to have these?

Scary pictures Shocked

I'm surprised your mechanic isn't familiar with Technical Service Bulletin LTB00241 though.

This is the one on fixing knocking from the suspension when driving over poorly maintained roads. In an attempt to stop the noise being transferred through to the body Land Rover engineers recommended removing the front body dampers and then bolting massive (12.8 kgs) lumps of pig iron to the chassis carrier (mass dampers).

Good luck, hope it all goes back together nicely. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Yep there the pics! Thumbs Up it was chirping and squeaking as I accelerated. It's the drivers side front port as a slight 3mm gap between manifold and block hopefully going to linish the manifold flat again.

Ok I'll let him know, thanks for that.

Some more photos!

Had to raise the engine out as some of the manifold studs have snapped.
