Thud sound rear wheels or suspension

Any ideas. When driving I hear a kind of thud sound coming from the rear wheels or suspension. What could it be. ?

Anti roll bar bushes?
Failing hydraulic anti roll bar seals?
Suspension arm bushes?
Midget trapped in the wheel well asking for help?

There are any number of threads hereabouts dealing with suspension noises. There are even sticky threads. The forum's search facility really is very good... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Assuming spare wheel is still there .... have you checked that the winch is cranked up fully; if not the wheel could be sliding front to back and side to side with the car's movement making a bit of a thud. Just a thought. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
