Wales 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange
I want some info on the First Edition RRS - especially mine

Firstly, I know that it means that they were the first off the line. I'm lead to understand that they were only available in Black, Silver or orange but not sure of the numbers made of each.

A dealer once said, and I know he talked a lot of twoddle, that the First Editions were all S/C with all the available extras. If you wanted one of the first RRS's then you had no choice. He said 250 orange ones were first off the line, then buyers had the choice of 500 silver or 500 black First Editions, after that, all the other variations/engines etc were made available.

BUT, he also said that all the orange ones came with oRange Rover decals on the bonnets - which I know to be twoddle (as mine has this when I bought it from him, I believed him ! )

Anyone know the exact story behind the First Editions, in particular the Vesuvius Orange one that I have, as Mr Google is just not finding anything for me !!  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

Prefer RR Vouge S/C but they don't do Orange !

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Firenze Red

my first one was a first edition, ordered in November 2004, collected in June 2005..

4.2 supercharged, Black, Ivory interior,20 inch stormers as standard, but privacy glass, electronic rear diff etc were all extras I specked and had to pay for.. some pictures in my gallery. I would say that First Edition was just a market ploy, no mention of it on V5..

Andrew 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!
TDV8 HST Stornaway on a 08.. remapped.. now gone and replaced, was a mighty fine car..
4.2 SC First Edition when they first came out, quick car!

From what I remember they made 200 Orange first editions all Supercharged. There should be a little plaque on the dash somewhere. I seem to remember that yes they were the first off the production line and all had the same interior spec. Not sure about orange decals - pretty sure they were all silver with the black LR badge. Looking at your car it had the HST conversion which was not done on the VO first editions. You might find your car might be a custom job and not a 1st edition. Your original reg should be an 05 or at very least a 55. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

correct, its an 05 and states First Edition on the log book, and I think the HST front is aftermarket, as evidence of spray work and swirls in primer etc. No other 1st Ed has the HST front, and thats probably when they replaced the front badges too ! Lol

I always wanted a VO RRS - love the look of them. I also wanted a G4 RRS - looks like I like orange. Now where's the fake tan? Wink 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Wales 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

found this quote

it had a price mark-up of £1500 over the lesser RRS S/C at launchtime. It is either Vesuvius Orange, Java Black or Zambesi Silver, it had Stormer wheels as standard, but the interior is how to tell if yours is not Vesuvius - you should have real lined oak wood on the centre console and door cappings and carpet mats otherwise that's all you got for your £1500 - and the "kudos" of owning the only Limited Edition RRS so far made - there was something like 100 cars of each of the 3 colours sold worldwide.  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition
