well well well, what an interesting few days I've had....

started off on Thursday evening when I send an email to the CEO of JLR. I received a reply from his office within ten minutes! I was informed that the CEO will be very upset to hear about my experience, but will endeavour to put things right.

His office also informed me that they would be passing my story on to Jeremy Hicks, MD of Land Rover.

I got a phone call at 8:45 on Friday morning from LR to let me know that my new RRS 2 will be with me next week - urely conincidentally though....

At lunchtime I saw a strange mobile number flashing up on my phone, and answered it. It was MD of Land Rover, Jeremy Hicks!!!

He apologied about my experience with this purchase, but has assured me that Land Rover or my dealer, or a combination of both will do something to put it right.

he also left me his moble number, and has asked me to call him if there are any issues!

Roll on next week!

I recieved this message from my dealer today "I’m afraid there is no further news as yet. I believe that they are now getting to the bottom of whatever the issue may be". An issue that no one seems to be able tell what it is !! Still in the XF Jag. not a bad car.

I've been given an estimated build date of 5th March!

I know it's only an estimated date, but I can't help getting excited! Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...

When did you order it?
Only wondering as it may give me an indication as to when mine might be built! ( not heard from dealer as yet )
Got to say though that I'm not holding out any hope for March build!

Hi Gavin

I ordered mine on the 10 August and I received confirmation on Friday it will be built on the 19 February, and I can alter the order up until the 21 January.

It will then be delivered to my dealer on the 10 March apparently. The dealer told me from the start it will be March, so bang on target

Ordered mine 26 September so hopefully will get it in May going by your dates.
My dealer said pano roof would delay it but reading on here looks like that problem has been sorted so production should be catching up.
What model have you gone for?
