Would love to try this with a RRS but reliability...

Well done to the two guys who drive a Disco 10k miles in 10 days.

Would love to do a trip like that, but my furthest is Leeds to Morzine in France and back in a Vectra Embarassed and that went wrong Rolling Eyes

Surprisingly, the duo also received sponsorship from Warranty Direct. This quote from Warranty Direct's MD Donald McClure sums up our shared concern beautifully: "When we were first approached for sponsorship and realised that they would be driving a Land Rover we were somewhat sceptical. Our Reliability Index shows the Land Rover Discovery as one of the more unreliable vehicles covered by Warranty Direct".

I quite fancy a road trip to Italy but a friend did it in his RRS and spent a couple of days trying to get it fixed when it died on him in Italy. It kind of put me off. Embarassed 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

If your car has been generally ok and hasn't left you stranded many times then just do the trip and get the fear out of your system. I have done several 700+ mile trips and a ~2500 mile trip in mine over a short period of time and can't recommend it highly enough. I didn't buy the Sport for its offroad or towing ability - don't do either. I bought it because it is a genuine tourer and one of the most comfortable cars out there. Love the looks too bit that's secondary.

We travelled to berlin about 785 (although the closed road made it about 800) miles in 1 day, autobahn speed in the Sport. It will have done nearly 2k for that holiday - perfectly.

Flawless perfection there and back - best car on the market to do those sorts of miles... Mike
