Misery,

I'm pretty sure that the S/C upgrade is now available. The problem wasn't getting more power out of the engine, it was getting the engine management to allow you to use it Confused
There are a pair of torque limiters, one on the engine and another on the gearbox and both have to be in accordance with each other or the torque is cut. Therefore both have to be modified to allow the extra power to be taken advantage of.
Give them a call.

Paul

Paul,

Can you ask JE to post if they can do the SC upgrade.

Gearbox torque limiter is not affected by the engine map changes and does not need to be altered for a 'simple' engine map modification of around 30-40bhp

Engine torque limiter does have to be raised but only by about 5% Chips with everything

TC,

Don't take this as gospel, but my undertsanding is that both engine and gearbox have to "agree" with each other or the torque will be limited.
Also, it depends on how much torque the engine is producing as standard as to how much extra you can add without having to change the torque limiter settings. Clearly some cars produce more than others.
If you want more precise details, I'm afraid you will need to talk to Jonathan.

Paul
