plastic engine covers

is there an easy way of removing the pins on the plastic covers?
I broke the first one already using a nail bar
I am trying to remove the lower front covers to attach the bottom end of a hose

Do you mean the two piece plastic rivets type things? (sure they have a proper name but can't remember).

I usually just lever out the central part with small screwdriver first and then the outer part is no longer in tension so will easily slip out.

Sorry if that's not quite what you were after. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Thumbs Up Checked - they are called plastic rivets. You can obtain replacement for the broken one from Duckworths. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
