2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Will it fit in my garage?

Any one know if my new RRS will fit in a standard double garge (two single doors), it's a standard build that's the usual size with all new houses. I guess I'm concerned it maybe too tall or wide? What's the view? New RRS

I think thats why I sent the post. I saw the pic as well and thought maybe it will fit. I just take it as red that it wouldn't fit. New RRS

Ronnie - Not that mine has been in the garage but I did line it up outside out of interest and as I recall clear on height but width looked borderline even with mirrors folded - dont think I risk the risk of damage. This is in a new ish build good sized double garage - I have thought about custom double door down the line with new lintel and perhaps auto open'er but I doubt I'd garage it then.... I guess the dimensions will be online somewhere for you to verify. I know at the last house I had garage built with 7'x7' door (as i recall) for this type of vehicle but moved before had chance to use it !

It should fit but my only word of caution is that my house was built back in '88. Since then builders don't seem to make garages as big, my friend has a modern house and the garage is not big enough to get a VW Polo in, not joking. They assume that you only want to keep bikes and 'stuff' in it. I'd advise you measure you garage and take into account caopy door shut lines etc.

I replaced our canopy doors with 2 fully electric roller doors, they are a godsend and look nice too in dark green. Wasn't cheap mind you.

I also have to fold the mirrors in to get the car in and out. L319 D4 HSE

My build was '01 they haven't scrimped on the floorspace just the doors!?!?! Ridiculous for the £100 or £200 [more] decent doors would have been...

Hmm which equates to 77.95" a shade under 6'6" and I think standard garage doors are 6'6" - 1.27mm clearance !! - just not enough not to spoil your day is it - down to the builder at the end of the day and what doors were fitted then.

Hi Ronnie.
We live in a David Wilson Home, built around 95 mark.
It has standard size cardale canopy garage doors, and although i never tried to get my RRS fully into the garage, i remember when i was fiddling with something in the engine bay, i managed to get the car in width ways. It didn't look like it would fit length ways though.

I can get my RS4 fully in, with about a ft clear, but no chance with my dads old 7 series or the A8. Guess you will have to get your measuring tape out. Although garages should be standard size, builders often chop and change garage sizes to suit the rest of the property.

Where abouts are you in the midlands? another one for a midlands mini meet then guys..

The RRS only just fits into my garage and even then it has to be reversed in because I wouldn't be able to open the doors to get out if I drove in frontways. To that end, I don't normally put it in unless we're going to be away for a while...

I've managed to get a full size RR in ours despite it being a very tight squeeze.

In the spirit of helpful suggestions, you could knock down your garage and have it rebuilt such that it fits perfectly!
