gearbox flush whats inolved

hey guys i have seen a few threads on this "gearbox flush"... just wondering is there a specail procedure to get it fliushed correctly? i know thats the point in paying for the serivice but im fairly mechanicly able so if its just a case of emptying and refilling the gearbox twice id manage it, is there and specific product ye use to aid the "flushing" of the box?

thanks

Take a look here: http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic55010.html Thumbs Up

The fluid is normally flushed through via the radiator. You must ensure the same amount of fluid goes in as comes out and it must be done at the correct temperature (IIRC, 30-50 degrees C). Wink

There's very little margin for error, so it's something usually best left to the experts with proper equipment. Thumbs Up
