My order

Hi, new to the forum here. After many years of RRS adoration I finally ordered my very first Land Rover, a Range Rover Sport. I've always been a fan of the Range Rover Sport and with the new model that hasn't changed. I ordered mine about a month ago, delivery time is December (production November), so I still have a long 4 months ahead of me...

With the launch of this car in Belgium they start from the HSE version, no S/SE versions yet, so mine will be a HSE. I went for the TDV6, I think that'll be a nice introduction for me, also because I wanted to add quite some options. Our HSE version has 20" alloys, so that's good for now, sat nav and Oxford leather seats. After a bit of decision making I opted for the Santorini Black and Ebony/Cirrus interior with Ebony seats. Since I love music I just had to include the Meridian sound system (not the super high-end one, a bit too expensive), the 825W with 19 speakers version.

Other options I added are dark grey oak panels, privacy glass, 18-way powered seats with memory, climate control (3 zones), climated seats, BSM/CVS package, Surround Camera system, interior lighting system, digital dashboard. Those are the main options. I'm so looking forward to this car, I think I've seen about every (youtube) video about this car, about every review, etc. As I said, still a long 4 months to go. I've seen the car at a pop-out store not far from where I live and I've booked a test ride halfway september, but still, it won't be easy Wink

I'm looking forward to sharing experiences/info/etc with everyone here. Thanks for reading!

EDIT: order updated to SDV6 with on-road/off-road pack Very Happy

One little question, though. I'm having a hard time choosing the ceiling color. I now have the Cirrus morzine option on order, but I'm heavily considering the Ebony morzine option. This adds more contrast to the Ebony/Cirrus interior imho and adds a bit of class too imho. The only fear that I have is that it maybe could be too dark. What do you guys think?

Having driven a demo with ebony headlining I would always go for Cirrus or Ivory. Even with a glass roof (covered up) the demo felt dark and top heavy. However, colour is a very personal thing.

That's my biggest 'fear', that it would feel too dark inside. Adding the glass roof could ease that a bit, but I don't really want the glass roof option. Thanks for your input!

Like Corris say's, it's a personal thing, but I've never been a fan of darker headlining and would always choose a lighter colour in preference. I changed my logic when I had my previous Audi A6 and chose black, never again, car felt very small inside and I wish I'd gone with the lighter grey. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior

GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring
GONE: Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - Stornaway Grey w/Black Interior (wish we'd kept it Banging Head )
GONE: BMW F10 520D MSport - Carbon Black
GONE:MY12 RRS SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ivory/Grand Black Privacy glass

One more vote against black. Have specced mine with Ivory. Currently have black in my E63 and looks classy but fancy a change. Black looks great esp if you go with Alston but def gives darkens the interior. You didn't list the pano roof so without it I would say a lighter headlining would help.
Very personal call tho so go with what you like most

You guys are making it easy for me Wink

I admit, the black looks classy and all and the Ebony/Cirrus seats/interior look nice(r) with this too, but I fear it would darken the car quite a bit inside. I'm going to check with my dealer to see if he has any vehicle with an ebony ceiling, I'd love to see this irl. The UK guy that's selling the SDV6 Dynamic has the black ceiling, but the video is overlit, so it's hard to judge by that. Likewise on other vids that I've seen...

Thanks for chiming in, everyone!

Yeah, I guess so too. Having the Autobiography interior in Cirrus/Ebony would lighten it up a bit too (I don't want full Cirrus seats), but that would mean I need to get the SDV6 Autobiography, which adds quite a bit of money. I'm tempted by the SDV6, but seeing that they can easily tune the TDV6 to 218kW/297BHP is nice to know. Pff, I didn't have this dilemmas when I ordered the car, I guess time does that, lol

Beco, the final episode of the latest series of Top Gear featured a RRS with a Cirrus interior, (including seats).
