I've just purchased a 55 sc and have found that the Nav is showing no signal (red line through icon) the previous owner has said it's got the 2012 disc in and needs an aerial upgrade? Is this true, and if so can I just put an earlier disc in and get it running?

Never heard that later discs need an aerial upgrade. Sounds like b t. Have you checked the GPS aerial is still plugged in to the back of the sat nav unit under the passenger seat? If you have the sharkfin on the roof check the connection underneath. Think there was thread about this describing how it is possible to access it by opening the rear hatch and pulling down the rubber seal and headlining but you'll need to be careful. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

All of the connections seem good, and I've checked the disc, it says 2011-12. As the maps all load ok so I'm guessing it must be the receiver. I'll confirm when I receive the replacement.
