this has been posted on a few forums great plane to race against in your RRS

But can't help but think climbing high and doing a roll wouldn't have been the fastest way of turning and the "photo finish" was rigged a little for publicity

That was my point...if nothing else the distance covered would be greater by the spitfire i dont know the spitfire v speeds - but even with the sport doing its max 150mph speed, i bet the spitfire will go faster Mike

here you are:
Maximum level true airspeed (m.p.h.) 369 at 13,000 ft. In level flight the maximum level true airspeed is higher by about 35 m.p.h. below 13,000 ft

So it would lick the sport...oh and as a pilot i found this stat cool
Combat rating - Maximum rate of climb (ft/min) - 3710 at 8,800 ft. Mike
