HSE or Dynamic

Im failing to see where the extra cost is justified for the dynamic/AB. Anyone help..... ? Exterior looks the same on the HSE - AB models (minus colour coding here and there and wheels)

I had dynamic response on my evoque and it got used once i think , dont think ive ever used it on the 2010 Laughing

Slightly higher toy count and a few more interior options. That's about it.

The Dynamic/AB do get TR2, torque vectoring, 2-speed transfer box too, of course. AB has the S/C engine choice.

So, if you're only interested in the exterior, there is little point in going for the AB. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Are you talking HSE or HSE dynamic...there are the same main "toys" on the HSE dynamic to the Autobiography Dynamic.

Its LR's new approach to make the HSE almost poverty spec. Mike

I hear you!! SE doesnt even have the same engine as a HSE...so that helps its below poverty spec!!!

Which is should add is relative, compared to say a £8k car (although looking at some manufacturers you can get a lot of toys in "normal" cars now - some the RRS doesnt have) Mike

Well, I went dynamic.

But only because the new car is a keeper...

If I were to have it for only 3 years, it'd be HSE.
- my thinking is that 5k over 5 years is no big deal for a slightly better handling car.

I really struggle with torque vectoring or a two speed transfer box since I've never, in 6 years, engaged low speed on mine.

Anyways.... 2022 P440e AB

Does the HSE have high and low ratio gears like the Dynamic?

It appears to get low Ratio box you have to buy Dynamic so a big jump in price compared to current HSE Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

You can buy the optional off-road pack for the HSE. This gives the 2-speed transfer box. The Dynamic stuff is in the on-road/off-road pack which is a big bit of cash. The off-road pack is a few hundred quid. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I've gone for HSE with the added £410 off road Pack mainly for resale. I will tow a horse box once In a while and use a bike ack so also added the electric tow bar at £810.. In all truth I don't like the black grill and rear black bar which I think cheapens the look (on a black car) but that's personal preference. I'll have he car under 2 years... 2017 MY - Dynamic, same again!

2016 MY - Dynamic - same spec again all round, engine a noticeable improvement

2015 HSE Dynamic - same spec as the last plus Meridian, Full Size Spare & InControl Apps

HSE Dynamic 2014:
Ebony / Lunar, Heated Mirrors, Privacy Glass, Heated Steering Wheel, Red Callipers, Interior Mood Lighting, Ebony Headlining, Panoramic Roof, Electric Towbar, Centre Console Fridge.

Previously: 2011 RRS, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Audi S5 Cab, RRS, Audi S4 Cab.

I think the dynamic pack cost almost £3k on the HSE back in 2006, so maybe it's not to bad now. 2014 Nara Bronze SDV6
