If you update you're profile, we'd know what year car as it makes a difference as to whether it is a car blip on the newer ones or a bonnet open horn on the older ones....  Bodsys Brake Bible

But judging by your other thread, a 2.7 would be a pre 2010 car so you should not get a blip/beep when looking unless the car thinks a door, boot or bonnet is open.

Usual culprit is the bonnet sensor RRS gone
