Wheel balancing under warranty??

Yes, you guessed it.... I've got the steering vibration which i had since new (01/03/06) Took the car in for the latest safety recall and the following.
1. Heated front passenger seat defective.
2. Winscreen washers defective
3. Rusting locking wheel nuts

Just been told that they (Gatwick Guy Salmon)have sorted the above problems under warranty but are refusing to pay for the wheel alignment. I have explained that it has done it since new and mentioned the amount of discussion on this web site.
Has anyone else had to pay for this???
Regards
Steve.

Do a search on Disco3.co.uk as well as this has been a big issue over there too, not so much for the vibration more for tyre wear but same argument.

You coule always threaten to take your servicing elsewhere, there must be dozens of LR dealers to service the thousands of RRSs in Surrey.

As my wife would say, "For the millionth time stop exadurating!"

Its Guy Salmon at Gatwick... not been too impressed so far. Didn't have the courtesy car that i booked 3 weeks prior.. offered me a freelander! which was so dirty and full of old food and crisp wrappers my girlfriend had to cancel a meeting through potential embarrassment. They did deliver a LR3 later that day with a really helpful driver so can't complain about that.
Just waiting to hear from them since 8.30am. Told them to look at this site and call me back...

Interestingly, had my 15k service done there and I thought they were really helpful and knowledgeable staff. Granted I wasn't going to be costing them any money/paperwork... Wink

I use Guy Salmon in Thames Ditton and so far I'm very happy. Might be worth a chat - talk to Alberto, top man. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
