Roof bars and rails question

Has anyone fitted say Thule or similar roof bars onto the Range Rover Sport genuine fixed roof rails (the ones that run from front to back the length of the car)?
I have the rails fitted on the car but ideally need square bars as the genuine RRS bars are Aerobars.

I really need to somehow fit the square bars as my Canadian canoe carrier will fit directly onto these whereas they don't fit onto the aerobars.

I had managed to find canoe carriers to fit on the aerobars but when fitted, my canoe is too wide for them hence the need to fit the square bars instead.

Any help much appreciated as I intend, somehow, to transport my canoe up to the Lakes in a few weeks for our family hols. Thumbs Up

Only solution I can think of would be to unbolt the rails and use the Thule footpack kit which will take the square bars.
I went over from Thule clip on system to LR roof rails as it is alot neater.
Good luck...

SENIOR MOMENT!

The Thule footpad kit will clear the RRS fitted rails.....I have just checked.
So if all else fails buy the foot kit and use the square bars Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Hi and thanks for the reply.
Do you mean to ignore the RRS rails or will the thule foot pack actually use the rails?

Cheers.
I may have found a solution ..........
Yakima KeeLover seem to do the job on the areobars that the Thule ones do on the square bars. Only trouble is that they are $90. I've made some enqs but they could be the answer to anyone else with a similar canoe carrying question with the Oem rails and bar set up.

Will update wen I have a definitive answer and know that they will work.
