Hello Neil.

The handsfree-microphone is located in the front overhead console situated right
behind the interior mirror.

If You look at the console, You can see two perforated areas.

Behind one of them is the microphone

To check, You have to loosen the whole fixture..

If I am correct, You have to loosen 9 clips an 4 electrical connectors
to get it free.

It's more than likel the wiring between the back of the radio and the microphone itself.
