Welcome to the forum.

Those are called stormer wheels, they look great. Thumbs Up

I would suggest that you keep a hold of the 19's and just use them as winter wheels. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

I don't think the above are "stormer wheels" that came with the earlier models.

You have not specified if your current wheels are 19" o 20". Having said that, if you are upgrading from 19" to 20". please verify if your vehicle has "damped steering gear". Most non-supercharged earlier models did not have one.

Do a search... much has been discussed here. Malaysia Boleh!

The RRS originally came with 19in wheels (maybe 18in but not sure). When 20in wheels became available LR developed a damped steering rack because the larger wheels were causing problems. If you fit 20inch or larger wheels to a non-damped rack then you risk failure of the rack. The damped rack became standard in 2007 I believe.

Just to add to the above...

Almost all supercharged RRS in the 2005/2006 era came originally with 20" stormer wheels (see my gallery to know what they look like) and these vehicles had the "damped steering gear" fitted. All others that wanted to upgrade to 20" wheels needed to upgrade their steering racks too.

Since your vehicle (2005/2006 model) is originally (I think so) fitted with 19" wheels, you need to check your steering first before changing to 20" wheels.

I bought a new 20" see with tyres for £1000 from overfinch through this forum - would of cost £1000's more from LR Cool

Sold my old 20" set for about £500 and my 19" set for about £400 on here Thumbs Up

With hindsight I should of kept the 19" set and fitted winter tyres Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I sold my 20in wheels for the same amount that I bought my 19in wheels for. I have changed the tyres at winter rather than run two sets of wheels (mainly for storage reasons as I have no garage currently - the tyres go in to the attic when not in use).

I'm hoping that we will be in a new house later in the year and storage will be easier so I might buy another set of 19in wheels and run them with either winter tyres or a set of MT/R for a bit of off road use. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
