United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Never bought any land rover merchandise in the past but seen as you've ask for our opinion, he goes.
1, jacket... No style and a dull colour. Whistle Cap.... Dull colour, traditional L/R colour might be better suited. Thumbs Up Teddy.... Awww, ideal for the younger members of the family. Smile Ladies Handbag... Perfect for Beancounter, Laughing Other items... Well i suppose they are there just to fill the display cabinet up.

To be honest, there isn't anything there that i would say... Wow i will have to have one of those... Ok the little toy models might sell. Items that other manufacturers tend to sell are umbrellers with logo's, desk top daily calendar with facts or phrases on besides the day and date. Thumbs Up Pen's, rulers, polo shirts T shirts and sweatshirts, etc etc, but having said that, such items are usually bought by younger enthusiasts that are usually connected to the sports car world who often go to organised events. The only time ive ever seen anyone wearing a L/R product is at an offroad event or a mechanic at my local dealer. Although i do have a pair of official L/R overalls. Thumbs Up
Hope this helps with your feedback. Wink

You did ask... Laughing

Purchased land rover stuff over years including this year.

Range isn't massive, some ok stuff but nothing inspirational -certainly samee

Some of the land rover outdoor stuff has been good but all that seems to have gone in favour of less useful/desirable stuff Mike

I don't buy vehicle manufacturer's merchandise (other than actual vehicles, of course). I'm afraid I don't buy in to the whole "LR family" idea behind it, to be honest.

Having looked at the stuff offered by LR, I see nothing there to change my stance either. All very predictable and, dare I say it, dull. Also, as seems to be LR's way these days, it's expensive for what it is - the LR logo is expensive to apply it seems.

Having said all of that, I quite like the mugs. But then I do like a nice cuppa Very Happy

Well, you did ask for our opinions Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

My dealer gave a large teddy to each of our girls when we picked up our Sport. Nice touch and kids were made up! The Mrs got flowers and I got................. A massive grin when driving off the forecourt. Thumbs Up

Wouldn't buy anything personally though. 2013 (13.5MY) RRS HSE Black | Causeway Grey | Privacy | Ivory & Ebony | Grand Black Lacquer | Style 7 Alloys | AWESOME

Hmmm, looking at the 'new' stuff, I have to admit it's probably better than the old 'wooly jumper green' colured stuff and standard fayre of a mug, umbrella, cap etc.......BUT I think wearing any sort of Car branded apparel is a 'no no' unless you work for a garage dealership or race team.

In most cases I'd say you can buy better quality items for less money without the 'privilege' of having a LR logo on them.

So in response....
what are you're thoughts on the current range? (link below of current range) - see above

2, Have you purchased any of the new range? No

3, Would you purchase any of the new range, if not why? No, see above

4, Have you purchased any Land Rover Gear/Merchandise in the past? No, only received 'freebies' umbrella/mug'

5, What would you like to see Land Rover Gear do in the future with their products? Neat design solutions, an umbrella that stores in the boot/rear door that's concealed ('a la' RR and Bentley) Maybe collaborate with a known decent designer, so you are getting cutting edge style with a 'hint' of LR.

I have looked from time to time at the clothing side eg, coats, hats, etc but SWMBO wont let me buy anything because she says I will look like a LR salesman Laughing

Bought my son a LR bike a few years ago - load of Censored - local bike shop fixed it 4 times then told us to skip it Rolling Eyes

Have had a few freebies and the quality always seems good Thumbs Up

Prices are pretty steep too for free advertising Embarassed Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

The rear door on most of the range is a waste of space, I'm sure they could come up with a nice solution there Wink

Funnily enough, the one thing Mrs Bean wanted when we got the RRS was the RR pastel checked cashmere blanket, and plug in boot fridge, but I saw the prices and told her they were discontinued Whistle ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

think the main reason i havent is i dont want to look like a landrover salesman. most of it is overpriced massively they used to do thermal mugs for about 30 quid when there the same ones as you get for a fiver with the landrover badge printed on them. only the dead truely know peace,
Bootneck its not a job its a way of life!
