Not that i drink...but i always thought that rule was sill...that you cant be in the car drunk to sleep it off etc.

Fair enough driving or going to drive... Mike

I think the terminology is "in charge of a motor vehicle". So if you've got the keys on you and you're asleep in it then you're considered to be "in charge" of it. The better option would be too be asleep in it but the keys are behind the pub bar so you can't drive it. I reckon you'd be able to argue that one in court.

The scary thing is, if you take the logic to extremes, then one is guilty of being "in charge of a motor vehicle" if one is asleep drunk in bed at home and your keys are by your bed and the car is on your driveway. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

RRSTDV8 you are right about the law and the difference is that whilst in bed at home drunk the likelihood of driving are very slim but in the vehicle drunk with the keys raises the chances of you driving, "in charge" also has a common sense distance rule which usually interprets to being in it or very close. But this is totally going off topic sorry. Spud Smile

Sorry to remind you about it, but according to the brochure stainless steel pedal covers are a standard fit in an HSE Dynamic. Your online spec has charged £102 for them. Wink

Gotta ask why so much negativity from you on the new model? Most seem to look at it at a vast improvement on the previous generation, appreciate each their own opinion but curious to understand.
Surely at some point LR had to update the old model?
