6k (i recall its a while ago) is what i calculated to get me back to the current HSE spec and does not consider the options from there

So privacy glass, folding seats, towbar, the roof etc are all extra Mike

RRSTDV8 Thumbs Up

Yes! £410 is nothing when one looks at the total cost of the new vehicle. Ideally one would have the on/off road pack as that gives you the best overall package. But it is rather pricey. I'd rather have that than big shiny wheels.

19" rims better ride and loads more miles and far greater grip in ALL terrains apart from Chelsea Rolling with laughter

Actually harder to kerb too. So.........

I need to go look at "Torque vectoring by braking" What the F**k is that all about Bow down  SDV8 vogue SE.

Go for it Baron, you can also be the first to tell us about all its faults too, as they accure. Wink

In all fairness, do you really think the new sport will need the SDV8 engine Question

Well...... I dont like the V6TD and cant see the point in the petrol SV8 unless you want to spend your life in a petrol station!! But having driven one and listened to them Bow down

My interest is long term and more off road. My 2007 tdv8 is and will always be AWESOME. Very capable car on and off road.

Cannot tell you biggest and best advice is go 19" rims and Grabber AT tyres if you want capable rather than

Ady. No. Not the new/ soon to be old rrs but the disco 4. Did the big trip to Loch inver high on the west coast of Scotland (stunning place).

I found it breathless passed 65mph ish and to my surprise worse on fuel than my TDV8.

Also Brembro brakes on mine are way superior. Had an instance on journey north when I needed the stop peddle and was alarmed how hard I had to push with trailer attached Shocked  SDV8 vogue SE.

Sorry no not even gone there yet Whistle

I have to be honest as I havent looked in depth yet but there are some really weird pricing policies.

2K for a towbar but only 410 quid for transfer box and dynamic pack Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter I paid £500 as an extra option on mine for a locking rear diff !!

But to be honest the on/off road pack should be standard on ALL models Censored  SDV8 vogue SE.

This is the point i'm trying to get accross Baron, the new sport is some 400+ kg lighter than the current model so i'd of thought it would be quite a bit quicker with acceleration and also a lot quicker in the braking dept, my SDV6 is no slouch and the brakes are more than adequate, granted i don't tow a trailer, but doesn't your trailer have brakes. Question

Yes you have a valid point 1\2 ton is going to make a hell of a differance in every department.

Still want a 4.4 though Thumbs Up  SDV8 vogue SE.

The new SDV6 in dynamic has 290bhp so it's not going to be a slouch. Indeed, the "basic" SDV6 will be quicker than the TDV8 in the old RRS because of the weight reduction.

Because the SDV8 will weight somewhat more than the SDV6, I'd be interested to see how much, if any, performance benefit the SDV8 brings. It'll have more torque than a torquey thing, of course, which will make towing a breeze but the new SDV6 is hardly low on torque. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
