Not sure if non-RRS stuff can go in the off roading section but hopefully one of the mods will move it to "off topic" if more appropriate...

Thanks to James and HGG, went to a Land Rover Experience Centre today. Great track. Wading was the only thing I wish they offered but didn't. Excellent experience nevertheless. The instructor Mark was superb and really knew his stuff.

Did the on road bit on the MY13 FFRR (4.4 SDV8) which had to be sourced from a dealership. They didn't want to get that one too dirty so it went back as soon as we were done with it. Then the off road part was on a MY12 FFRR (also a 4.4 V8 ).

The 4.4 SDV8 is phenomenal ... the pull, the sound, the smoothness just blows you away. The interior is so Cool as well.

Here is the on-road car with the LRE chaps:

Thanks Bean.

Yes, the new FFRR does make you Bow down Handles at least as well as the sport if not better, thanks to the weight loss and other enhancements. We were in the MY12 afterwards and the interior, even though much more modern and comfortable compared to our pre-facelift RRS, seemed a bit "dated" compared to what we had just seen in the new one. The best thing about it has to be the engine though.

Just can't stop thinking about it, but the pricetag Thud

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

I recall being taken round an off road course in a MY11 FF (Dunsfold collection meeting iirc), and the ride was amazing. I am sure sure tea in china cups would not have been spilt despite the rough terrain.

Last time I went out with the defender, I wondered if I should sell it and get my P38 more off-road ready, or sell both and get a FF/RRS to take off road Whistle

"Roads ? Where we're going there are no roads." Back to the future.
