2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Lugano Teal

62 plate sport wont lock off the key fob

sadly the car aint mine.... customer has come up in a hire car - rr sport 62 plate, my 57 plate seems agricultural compared

locking the doors off the key fob - you hear them lock and mirrors move in etc try any door handle without pressing the unlock on the fob and it'll open though

am I dumb/missing something ?

Your missing something If your mate has the keys on him while he is trying the door then it will open, thats called keyless entry If the key is out of distance of the motor 1/2 a yard or so then the motor won't open.
