DPFs and MoT

I see a number of 'tuning' companies also replace the diesel particulant filter (DPF) with a straight through pipe and re-programme the ECU.

What's member's views on whether this would cause an MoT fail - or not?

If there's a dpf warning light on the dashboard then it will probably fail an mot test.
