TDV8 vs TDV6; I've made up my mind and have ordered .....

A Supercharged RRS !!! Very Happy

I had the opportunity to drive one last week and I was really impressed.

Obviously a car of this size with this peformance is totally unnecessary but that is why I loved it so much. My local dealer had a new one coming in this week in Buckingham Blue with Ivory so I snapped it up - if i ordered a new one now it would have to be the HST and I dont want to be accused of trying to sell drugs when on the school run.

I know the fuel economy will be pants but at least it is going to be better than Audi's new diesel! Very Happy

On a slightly serious note, does anyone know the smallest wheels that you can fit onto the car fitted with Brembo brakes ? I will be taking it offroad during the shooting season and I dont want to trash the 20" wheels or constantly be getting punctures. I guess only the 19's will fit but can anyone confirm ?

Yeah they are the better ones in WS. I have my RR also in service there.

Are you trading anything in, (or to what are you upgrading from)

Yup, I'm trading in our 3yr old full fat RR TD6. We've always used Harwoods and have never had any reason to complain. Amazingly the RR has probably been the most reliable car we've ever owned.

Sorry to hear about the diff. Our car has done 54k miles and apart from the odd puncture and my wife driving through every hedge in the county, nothing has gone wrong.

The Sport should arrive early next week and then it just needs PDI'ing and a tow bar fitted so hopefully i'll have it by the end of the month.

Guy NeilR took his stormers off road at Tixover no problem, but then on my first D3 HSE I took that regularly off road on my shoot and first time out gouged 3 alloys on flints Crying or Very sad I considered a second set of tyres but I didn't think I would ever change them Embarassed

I was hoping that the 19's would fit as you can pick them up on EBay at such good prices.

I know what you mean about getting round to fit them though !

I had an ongoing saga with Landrover over the 20" alloys and off roading, I also had a letter published in evo magazine all about it.

He Guy,

How much more pants do you think the fuel economy would be

I have sold the Audi Allroad 2.7T as this was very very heavy on fuel (especially with my style of driving) so what do you expect to achieve on your RRS

Guy,
I can confirm that 19" wheels do fit over the Brembo brakes with no problems, because I have them on mine.
