2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black
My second RRS - 2010 autobiography

Well after a year or so in an e92 m3, I'm now back in an RRS. Picked it up this morning from Farnell Land Rover and love it already.

Some pics bellow, but just some poor shots I couldn't resist taking before I drove it away from the dealership...

Interior looks a bit garish on the pics, but a much deeper colour in the flesh...

Drew Thumbs Up

Beautiful car mate, enjoy it. The interior is different for sure, I like it, some won't, you obviously do and that's all that matters. Thumbs Up 2010 RRS TDV6 3.0 Autobiography - Stornoway Grey

Very nice drew!!!!

I do like red interiors but sometimes they go too far, just look at a 911 with red interior....

Any plans? (Apart from the 22's)

Cheers guys!

I didn't like the interior when I saw the pics of the car, but trust me in the flesh it's a much darker red and looks fantastic.

I do agree though, I think land rover went a bit too far with some parts such as the gear stick and surround, so I plan to change that to black.

It's how it came from the factory by the way, it's not an aftermarket job! My preferred option was the cream ebony interior but with 2 kids it would have lasted a minute! Ha.

Only plan to do one or two bits, 22"s might be the 1st, then I want to colour code the front and side grill surrounds and maybe lose the chrome mirror caps. Oh and I'd love to do a 2012 tailgate conversion too but that's about it really, love it as it is, but always like to add some form of personal touch.

1st job I wanted to do however was the exhaust tips. Very disappointed with the level of preparation the main dealer managed, the worst was the tailpipes as these hadn't even been touched. So out came the degreaser this afternoon and spent 20 mins making a start on cleaning them back up to how they should be...

After...

Not bad for just a simple degrease and scrub. I'll get the metal polish on them tomorrow to finish them off and remove tar spots etc. Bit sad perhaps, but I'm a bit of a clean freak and like to take of my cars!

Once upon a time, i thought about spraying the innards of my tail pipes matt black and leave the outer rim polished chrome. Seen this before and it looked ok.

Ok so whilst looking and deciding which, if any, 22"s I wanted, I came across a set of nearly new hawke chaytons for a good price that I couldn't resist.

Doubtful I will keep the alloys (so pm if interested) but will keep the tyres as they are hancooks and like new. But me being me I couldn't resist trying them on the car, so here it is. Excuse the car being dirty but as stated I couldn't wait to put try them on...

In a all honesty, not much different at all. Motorway it's exactly the same, only time I can tell a slight difference is over major pot lumps and bumps but even then not that much. The wife didn't even notice I had changed them! Ha

They actually look quite good. You just need to remove that dealer sticker on the rear window. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool
