R22Flyer,

I've got both a Galaxy S3 and Tab and the reception within the car is fine, even with the heated front windscreen. Have you checked the GPS on the phone is working correctly and that it is in fact turned on? I've fouind sometimes that Maps etc haven't prompted me when it's switched off...

If it's all working then try these:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details...&hl=en

A friend uses something similar on his non GPS equipped Tablet and works fine

Cheers

I've got a Galaxy Nexus and it works fine with the heated windscreen. As Guyzer suggests, you might need to look elsewhere for the problem. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yup I use a Galaxy 3 running Google maps for up to date traffic, which by the way doesn't differ much from the RDS traffic info on the factory GPS. Save for the fact that it shows traffic as a Red Amber Green line on the map for the state of the traffic. I also use the free 'Trapster' app for speed cam warnings. No reception problems at all. Most motorways seem to have a good 3g signal.

strange thats what i am doing too, with a Galaxy S3 and road pilot, but my reception is poor, on google maps the accuracy is very poor.

I have it mounted as pictured

I'll have a try with and without the power adaptor[/img] Tesla Model Y - 2023
