United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
TDV6 Fuel Consumption?

I'm looking to change from a Porsche Cayenne V6 to a RR Sport TDV6 and i'm hoping that someone can help me!

Pretty much all my driving is stop start around North London and my Cayenne is just making a huge hole in my pocket. It cost me ~£85 to fill up per week and I get 230 miles out of a full tank. I havent worked it out but its something stupid like 13mpg Shocked

Before I put my money down on a new car, I need to be convinced that i'll be saving a considerable amount. What i'm basically asking for is if anyone here has a TDV6 and if you do similar driving to me, how much do you get out of a tank?

I absolutely love my Cayenne and after driving the RR Sport, I love that too! I have found two dealers with cancelled orders, one for late July and one for mid September. Both are black on black HSE's with PTI and one has a sunroof. I will also avoid an apparent ~£2500 price hike if I go one of these cars as they will be MY2006 and not 07.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello there mate and welcome to the forum Very Happy

I'm not to sure what your MPG would be like around the city but i can tell you this. With the price hike the spec on the HSE will be going up as well to mach and i think you will end up saving. It may be worth looking in to it a bit more.

Know it not what you was asking about but i hope that helps anyway Smile RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

I drive mine to work most days, that is to into the Sydney CBD, and the traffic is pretty awesome. I am averaging about 11litres to the 100Kms, the metric to imperial convertor puts that at 25.680051 MPG. Fill up every 10-11 days or so, not weekly.

Cheers

Thanks alot guys, just what I wanted to hear!! JayMann, I understand that the spec will increase with the price hike but i'm more than happy with the current spec - it has alot more little luxuries and gadgets than the cayenne Very Happy

Stop-Start driving will give 23mpg, mix in some m'way and A roads and I'm getting 26-27mpg.

Depends on how you drive on m'ways but I seem to creep up to, but never better 30mpg! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

I travel through the centre of Birmingham every day, to and from work. So I should imagine there isn't too much difference in our driving conditions.

I'm averaging 24 - 25 mpg at the moment but like a few others on here this figure improves on open A roads and motorways. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Hi all,

I'm getting about 22.3 on mine driving around town and to and from work on the M4 only two junctions (jcn 8 to 6) so not too far.

I thought it would be better than this though It's finally gone! Replaced with BMW 730SE in Sophisto grey Xirallic finish with Oyster (Ivory) and black interior. DAB, Climate glass, Ceramic iDrive and gear selector, power boot and iPhone Bluetooth pack - luvvin' it!

I miss my old RRS "bucket" rattling around but it just had to go!

I've found that as the engine beds in, the consumption gets better. I'm 17.5k in and am getting 27/28mpg on my daily motorway/A-road trips. Don't worry, Peter - I'm sure it will improve.
