Does it need to haver any name markings on? It's not as if people or you will use the sill plates to recognise the car? L319 D4 HSE

Thanks guys. I think i understand it now. The ones the LR and RR make dont really protect the paint well. Mine aren't scratched yet but id be interested in a pair especiacally if you could get the ones with RR on them.

Here's an idea

How about looking at the sill scratching problem from another angle.

Instead of having some sort of plastic sill plate made or bought at reasonably high expense how about some sort of clear film that is hard wearing enough to defend the paint from the odd foot mark.

I have seen a product advertised in EVO magazine, designed to cover the front panels of your car to protect from stone chips, perhaps these guys could do something that would be cheaper?

It's called Venture Shield Paint Protection film.

I just looked on their website and they do some films for the RR and RRSport, mainly front bumper and headlights and bonnet. They may be willing to do one for the sills too.

Here's the European HQ details:

There appears to be quite a few UK companies selling it if you do a search for them.

Brilliant!

I have had a reply back from them already, in under an hour, despite the chap being in Sweden on a training course.

He is keen to follow this up and see about making a new template and it may be possible to make the template as an easy fit DIY piece.

It would appear to be a good idea that I remain as the sole point of contact for this so as not to cause confusion, plus, he also mentioned possible discounts on this piece and any others you purchased going forwards. Well worth asking wasn't it?

He is going on holiday for 2 weeks as of this weekend as am I so timing wise it could turn out well.

I have asked him some further questions on pricing etc so will let you all know what comes out of it. L319 D4 HSE

RRUK,
Sounds good to me would like to protect the front areas as per the web site design drawings. Would be nice to know the cost.
Proctection for the front like this when going through long grass and on the motorway would be invaluable at the front.
Would like to see if it can be seen when applied to black paintwork (would have thought some kind of ridge would be seen if ot air bubbles).
I have been searching for some kind of front bib to protect my own sport for the few occasions when it will be off the paved highway and have been unsucseful.
How easy is it to apply and remove.
This may be one answer to some problems. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Biggles

I'll let you know about pricing for the kits when he tells me, he seems keen to want to work with us on this and has already mentioned Forum member discounts.

Considering the range of high end cars they cater for I expect the finish will be excellent. I may offer my car as a guinea pig and go ahead with the kits to see what they're like and then I can give you first hand reports back on it. I'm sure they'd be keen to bag a few more customers on such a brand new model of car. L319 D4 HSE

Hello All, could someone post a link to an online reseller of the blank sill guards that this forum is chatting about? I prefer a blank sill but I'm in the US and nobody here sells them. Thanks ahead, this site has proven most useful.

Not a big fan of the "Sport" moniker. And since my carpets read "Range Rover", I don't want it saying that twice within the same 6 inches of floor space. If anything were to be engraved on the sill, I think "SUPERCHARGED" would look best.
Could someone please post a link to an online site that sells these sills blank???

Rob are you struggling with uploading the photo into the gallery, or including a gallery photo in a post? Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!
