Iphone 5 - Pairing keeps disconnecting!

Have done a search on the forum and cant find any issues relating to this. Having recently upgraded to the iphone5, I have to pair the phone each time I get into the car and enter the default code 2121 - so annoying ! Evil or Very Mad

On the iphone I will see "land rover" but it will show NOT CONNECTED, as soon as you try to connect it will prompt for the code again. Other half also has an iphone4 and that normally has the same problem but once every fortnight where you have to pair again by inserting the code.

Have deleted the pairing completley and no joy (i.e. forget the device on the iphone), called LR dealers who as I assumed would fob me off with useless information and nothing meaningful on the apple forums either.

Any info would be appreciated, else i may have to resort to Parrot MKI9200 which allows 2 phones to be connected at the same time together with uploading phone books. But I believe it needs an adaptor (S02) in order to work, plus fitting im looking at £200 ish.

Mozilla, was it ok with an earlier iPhone? Did you get your phone contacts list on the radio screen with your previous phone?
I can provide a software update to fix. Let me know where you are as I will be coming down to London Wednesday pm and Thursday, so could fix it for you.

Also, let me know what year of car it is.

The good news is that it's the factory fitted phone module. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible

I've got an 07 RRS S/C that seems to be doing as the gent's above. I have to pair my iphone 5 each time I start the vehicle. Can't vouch for the condition before as this is a vehicle I just picked up. The LR3 I had previous wasn't equipped with bluetooth. Will the software update that's available for the phonebook, also fix the constant need to pair?

Thanks in advance for the help! '12 RRS SC

Got it!

Is the D4 module an option for my 07 RRS S/C? If so, anything else I need to make it work?

Hi Bodsy I have just changed my phone to a Samsung Galaxy Ace. My old nokia paired and showed my contact list every time i got in the car. This Samsung pairs sometimes but never shows any contact details, it say memory empty. And my incoming calls do not come through radio. Any Ideas? My car is MY08 RRS HSE itisme

If it already showed the contacts on the screen, then it's the current version of software.
So could be settings on your phone or if you try disconnecting the + cable from the battery and shorting the + cable out on the body the ecu's may just re sort themselves and bring back the functionality. Thumbs Up Bodsys Brake Bible
