I will be touring the scottish highlands in October, so i thought i would buy a spare bulb kit, the landrover one is £42 Shocked Shocked
The ones advertised on Amazon are £7, is there such a difference in quality ? As i assume they are all made by Ring.

I went to halfords and picked one of each of what they listed for the RRS, the only one they didn't have iirc is the led brake light for mine, also got an assorted box of mini fuses.

have you tried them though, do they work ?, as other people have said that if you buy cheap ones ( and halfords sell cheap ones at premiun prices ) they cause seriuos electrical gremlins 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

I've read similar on here, I think although it is a 'right royal shafting' for a bulb set from LR compared to other over the counter bulbs, I would get them just to be on the safe side.

Although, I'm sure one of the sponsors (Duckworths/LPR) would do them for a reasonable price if asked Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Changed one brake bulb I think (not an LED one), and not had any problems with them. Got the heavy duty ones.

The LR ones are likely to be manufactured by Lucas or someone like that, so other suppliers of light bulbs may be able to supply the right ones at reasonable prices if you're not sure about halfords.

Who knows, you might get a few people up for a 'group buy' if the price is favorable enough, I for one would be 'in' a a reasonable price Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Does the LR kit contain a Xenon bulb? If it does, that would somewhat justify the price. I understand Xenons are quite expensive as they are expected to last very long, if not the entire lifetime of the car. However, if that's the case, does one really need a spare Xenon bulb? The Ring kit I bought (can't remember whether Amazon or eBay) was £12ish but the headlamp bulb is ordinary Halogen rather than Xenon. Fine by me as I mainly bought to carry for continent driving. Wasn't sure if it was required by law or just recommended. Can't comment on the quality as there hasn't been a need to replace any yet.

judgeing by the photos then it doesnt, however i changed my Xenons on my Merc, you have to buy a pair, as the new one will be much brighter than the exisitng one still in 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Fuji White

I purchased my RRS in London just having been MOT and when It went for its service 2 weeks later I was told that the Brake lights were throwing up an error code as they were not the correct polarity..!
The tech assumed that if it had not been MOT at LR an ordinary garage would just add any kind of bulb.
Easy fix but not worth the hassle afterwards if you do have an issue.
