GVIF extras

I have recently fitted a GVIF unit and reversing camera from hids4u and have got another one to do for big al and wondered what other things people have used the GVIF unit for ie more cameras, iPods and phones DVD players etc and how easy the other mods were ?

Can anybody tell me if the newer models have multiple cameras fitted and if they find them useful. Think I read they have cameras fitted in the mirrors looking at the kerb to aid with the parking ( might have made it up though )

You don't by any chance have the link for the sd player so i can see what is needed wiring wise.

I am thinking of mounting it into the glove box, obviously I will need 12v supply and then do I need to run an aux cable as well or av cables ?

Mines mounted under the rear seats, with the tv tuner the power supply and a switch box connected to the aux so I can select a sound source without unplugging things.

Unit itself is plug and play, all you do is unplug your sat nav lead, plug that into the gvif, then plug the gvif into the sat nav.The hard bit is running the cable for the rear view camera. That is of course if you intend to use that function, but my advice is use it,it is the best thing I have added to my RRS.
