Underbody protection againts rust???

When chating to my dealer re work to do in order to bring the car to its original factory state he mentioned that it may be worth considering to clean the underbody from all rust and apply some sort of coating/protection - anyone done this? ... heard off?

Waxoyl is common underbody sealant and its not uncommon for people to do it - most owners of RRS or D3/4 dont care - but there is advantages if you are going to keep it etc Mike

Wales 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Stornoway Grey

I have just waxoyled the entire underbody of mine it took 7 cans at £12 a can (Cheaper on Ebay @ £Cool. All you need is a wire brush and a few hours!! One thing I will say is I looked like a bloody dalmatian dog afterwards........absolutely covered in waxoyl so be prepared to get filthy!!!!! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Wink 2009 3.6 TDV8 HST

Check out Bilt Hambers products on under body repair and protection. They are raved about in 'classic car' circles and really know their stuff.

Be careful - badly done it can cause as many problems again, especially if it blocks drain holes.
