To 22 or to not 22 that is the question ??

Hi guys my sport is due for new rubber after 11,000 miles on crapinentals

The question is do I spend a little more and buy a decent set of 22" clogs and good tyres instead of new tyres for the standard rims.

I would be after good quality rims 1050kg etc as the car is mainly used SWMBO and my 2 daughters (4yr old and 19month old) so would not risk any cheap copies.

Anyone got any pictures of a fuji white RRS Chawton White with 22's on to tempt me or any forum sponsors want to chip in with a good deal Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Thanks guys 16 model year yulong white autobiography

I got Vogue 22s at a very reasonable price with Pirelli Zeros, rated to 1025kg.

not everyone's cup of tea I'm sure but for £1600 all in for a set of genuine (team dynamics) wheels with tyres its fairly good value I think.

I can do you a set of brand new 22" Supersports in Anthracite Gloss finish which would look really nice against a white car for £1995.00 inc VAT and delivery / fitting if you traded in your set of LR wheels with the crapinentals Thumbs Up

Let me know if this is of interest or if there are any other Overfinch designs which have caught your eye: http://www.overfinch.com/the-collection/sport-gts/wheels/

Cheers

Not everyone will agree but 22s will negatively impact your ride comfort. You'll feel every dent and pothole... but then again.. that might be your thing! Smile

Any more jokes?

Range Rovers have air suspension so I disagree that you 'feel every dent and pothole', you're likely to feel potholes even with 20" wheels fitted..

Thank you Overfinch. It's only 5% difference in profile about 10mm, you wouldn't want it on your nose but wouldn't mind it on you Censored Martyn

Going from 20" wheels to 22" wheels and maintaining the same circumference tyre means the tyre wall of the 22" wheel is 1" narrower. This will have a negative impact on ride comfort as stated by Klukut, whether this loss of ride comfort is acceptable for the sake of looks is a personal matter.

22" all the way, im very happy with the ride quality, but my suspension and steering are still very tight, with no knocking clunking or banging, so maybe im lucky Thumbs Up 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))
