Contact not displayed from Bluetooth phone incoming call

Hi,

I performed a search for my query but wasn't sure of a solution to my issue...

I have a MY10 RRS which I use with a Bluetooth connected iPhone 4 (latest iOS).

No issues with pairing, address book synchronization with the car or making/receiving calls except the caller id. Whenever an incoming call is received it is the telephone number displayed and not the contact's name. Contacts are all stored on the phone.

Is there a specific format for storing the number (i.e without international dialing code - +61...) that is needed?

Or is this a firmware/hardware issue?

Mine are all stored in a standard UK format i.e. 01234 567890 in either the Home / Mobile / Work categories.

It shows "Name (mobile)" or "Name (Home)" or "Name (Work)" on the Head unit when an incoming call arrives.

Try dropping the international dialling code on one and test it. Allan

Hi Allan,

Thanks for confirming that.

I've given it a go and can confirm that the contacts do appear to need to be in a 'local' format and not have the international dialling prefix.

I can live with that (it's not often I'm out of the country!), so I'll fix them up.

Cheers,

I also have an iPhone 4 latest iOS. I have found that on some occassions the contacts do not sync and the "phone book" button is blacked out! I first thought it was because I had 750 contacts in my phone, so I cleared a few out which seemed to help because also if they came across via Bluetooth there does seem to be a memory or link issue.

Intermittently though the issue does still exist! My contacts are a mixture of +44 or local 0... Numbers! MY2014 RRS Autobiography in Corris Grey, Black contrast roof and Cirrus interior, adaptive lights and side steps.
