MY12 RRS - Reversing Camera, viewing a trailer

Has anyone found a way of keeping the reversing camera view on when driving forward at speed?

I have a very small trailer for going to the tip etc. and I cannot see it at all from the drivers seat. It would be really handy to be able to view it (if only to be able to see if the rubbish is flying out!) when driving forward. 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

No, seems to stay on up to around 20mph when you are offered the cancel/select rear camera option after reversing, but then reverts to whatever display you had showing before (radio/nav etc) ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Easy to do.

When driving along go into the hidden menu - press the home screen, top middle part of screen for 5 seconds, top left of screen for 5 seconds and enter the code 7 5 3

Then press 'vehicle signal inputs' I think it is, and press the rear view camera.

Et voila - as you're driving with your trailer on you can watch what is going on MY10 HSE 3.0 TDV6 : Santorini Black : Ebony Interior w/Anigre wood : Privacy Glass (total) : Sunroof : Sidesteps : Hybrid TV : Detachable Tow Kit : Spare Wheel Cover : 22" Dished Supersports

Hmm, just a thought.....

Big Pimp, you list your car as an MY10 and mines an MY12. A key difference between the two is a complete change of Entertainment system. 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

Very true mlines, I wonder if there is a different trick to access the 'secret' menus on the MY12's Question ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

The rear view camera works at any speed. What am I missing here?

I have the surround camera system so I can use any camera any time. Very Happy As you have the physical rear view camera in place I'm guessing it is just a software issue. I have no idea how you would do it but I'd say it is definately worth doing as I find it very useful when towing stuff.
