New 2012 model TRDV6 3.0 just 1600 ish miles. It seems to drift to the left if steering released. Checked tyre pressures, side wind and camber of the road but it still seems to be there irrespective of speed. Previous 2.7 was very stable steering wise.
Is it my immagination?

It's new; take it back and ask for a full geometry check. And if they say "it's ok", take the spanner monkey out with you and scare him by letting it drift toward a tree in the verge... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Apparently a common issue Hugh with most RRS's leaving the factory with some sort of issue, some barely noticeable, some more significant.

Mine pulls the the right slightly and has got progressively worse recently (now done just under 4,000 miles). You spurred me to make a call this morning and I'm taking mine to a specialist place with 'Hunter' alignment equipment in the next week. Only costs £60 for a full front and rear adjustment and you get a printout before they commence work to show the adjustment necessary.
Was chatting to the guy on the phone and so far he has done over 15 MY12 RRS's this year already

Yes, I could take it back to the dealer, but I'd rather it done by guys who do it 'day in, day out'. Also the alignment place is a lot closer than the dealer I'd trust to do it.

Either take it back to the dealer, or get someone with decent alignment equipment to take a look, the sooner the better  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Mine is going in tomorrow, my steering wheel was off centre only very slightly but enough to annoy me, so i took it in the other day for them to check it, they tried to adjust it but to no avail, it isn't pulling to either side like yours, its just off centre so its going in for full geometry check, they said it will take 3 hours ish, i'm not fussed though, my dealer is only 10 minutes away and i'm getting another sport for the day.

Similar issue to be honest Ady, mine drives towards the right when the steering is held straight.
Seems the guys on the line are a little slap dash when adding the steering wheels  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I've just got back to the UK and have driven into town for my usual £7.50 haircut. Whilst driving along the country lanes I notced that the steering wheel is out by a couple of mm to the righthand down position.

Have just checked the tyre pressures and found them to be bang on. I only have 1400 on the clock and the car has not been off road or been kerbed.

I know that it doesn't sound like much but I'm sure that the streering wheel should be dead center on a new car?

I wonder if this will get reported back to the factory or is it a case of the guy putting the steering wheels on has a drink problem its not a case of just taking the steering wheel off and moving it around a few splines like in the olden days they have to adjust it on the steering rack And if there isn't enough tolerance on that then a full 4 wheel alignment is required.

Is pretty shocking, I agree Jim.
As I say, guy at my local wheel alignment place said that pretty much every RRS, be they old or new, had some sort of alignment issue.

From what I've seen in LR's ability to respond to customer feedback/problems, I guess that the MY20 versions will be bang on Ady  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I wonder if this issue is related to the air suspension on the RRS. The suspension has a tolerance such that even if the car is nominally sat level, each wheel can effectively have a different height relative to the body. As the geometry changes with chaning ride heights, in effect one could have a vehicle with different geometries on each corner. Drive slowly across uneven ground keeping the wheel straight and you can feel the wheels pulling left and right as the front wheels take up different ride heights (and thus camber settings etc.).

So if they set up the vehicle at the factory and each corner is near the limit of the allowed tolerance, it won't get picked up as a QA issue (because it's in tolerance) but might have an effect on the wheel alignment.

Makes sense RRSTDV8, but you would have thought that they carry out the check with all corners set to zero, ie no air in them (must be easy to do at the factory )
Failing that they should check them with all 4 wheels on a 'straight' piece of road. I'm fairly sure if Johnny QA man had test driven mine he would have noticed the desire for my car to drive around a right hand bend, even on the straight  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

This is begining to look like another Land Rover 'feature'.
