Boot closing using remote on RRS SDV6

Hey guys, just wondering if it's possible to code the car so that the boot can be closed from the key and not just opened.

Thanks

if its not a power boot, like the new ones, there would be nothing to pull the boot closed

Yeh its the 2012MY power boot. i did a search but couldn't find anything about it. Its just annoying that it's possible on Mercs and other marques. Kinda defeats the purpose of having power boot in the first place!! Looking to buy a TDV6 HSE!

I don't find it that much hassle if I'm honest.
It's become second nature now, generally I just hit the button without even thinking about it. Only twice have I sat in the car and thought, Censored , I need to close the boot Laughing ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

so you have power boots and it doesn't pull it fully closed Shocked

what a waste of time/money Confused If other companies like Lexus can, why could RR not achieve it

Not 'pull' it Nick, just press a button on the lower part of the tailgate Wink Thumbs Up
Agree, that it should have had remote closing though. Other marques do, seems like LR dropped a b Censored k on this one. Whistle ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

No beeps on the RRS one, it just stops if it meets an obstruction, leaving you to guess if its shut or to look at the info screen on the dash for a 'door open' sign. Rolling Eyes
As I say, the remote closing would be a 'nice to have' feature, but the reality is that it doesn't make that much difference Smile
I'm sure the MY20 will have it on Laughing ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Laughing , sorry, shouldn't laugh Ady, but I can imagine the dog going mental as you try and shut it in again. My dog would be the same.

I'm surprised they've not managed to fix it though, especially after 2 attempts, I'm sure it can't be that hard Shocked .....can it Whistle ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
