Sat Nav "I Agree" Screen

I have had on 2 occasions in last 5 days the situation where i cannot get beyond the "I Agree" screen, after some 30 minutes of driving it will allow me to press and accept, i can come out of the sat nav screen and select RSE without issue but will not let me into Nav, MY58 any ideas?

Thanks

Try taking your disc out, give it a clean and put it back in, see if that reboots it. Thumbs Up

Spoke to soon, now back to no response when pressing I agree button, 5 to 10 mins of driving and will work, is there a reset you can carry out on the sat nav system?

Do you know a fellow RRS driver you could try their disk, before buying a new one. You will then know if it’s the disk or system Thumbs Up 2013 HSE Black Edition with lots of toys

Did you ever resolve this? I'm having the exact same problem. Also I've found that rubbing my finger over the screen for a few seconds gets it working although the accuracy of the touchscreen is poor until around 10 mins has passed....

This sounds like a problem with the actual screen. Vadim A.

Thats what I feared......about a grand to fix I think Sad

The dealer said its something to do with a capacitor getting charged during engine start and slowly discharging until after around 10 mins its fully discharged...

I have not had the issue for several months now, never found out what the cause was but the car had been stood for a few weeks prior to it starting, maybe a battery thing.

I hadn't thought about the battery......it's happening every morning now. Funny though as after the first 10 minutes of driving in the day it's absolutely fine. It sits outside my office for 9 hours and it's fine when I get back into it. Just first thing in the bloody morning. Doesn't make any sense at all Sad

You're not gonna believe this but I gave the screen a good polish with some furniture polish and the problem went away! Doesn't make any sense at all but its been fine for a week now that its clean. Prior to this it was playing up every single day.
