Maybe pop to your local dealer and see if you can order one. At the same time you should be able to reset it as I'm sure they'd let you borrow one.
Failing that try Duckworths parts on here, they should be able to get you one Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Garry,

My RRS is fitted with a Diesel Misfueling Device, which stops the wrong fuel being put into the tank. If you put a smaller diameter nozzle in the tank it drops a tab down so no fuel can be delivered.

There is a yellow plastic tool (looks like a spatula) which is used to reset the tab so that the nozzle can be inserted and the car refueled.

If you google range rover misfueling device there are a number of videos showing how it works. 2011 TDV6 Luxury - Baltic Blue, Ebony with Contrast Stitch, RSE, Stormers, Towpack.

Ok - thanks - this is not fitted to my RRS so must have been an option (dunno why).

I just have a steel pipe with a metal reducer spotwelded inside to take the standard size aussie sized fuel hose - there is no yellow or any other colour tab in there.

Edit - looked at it on a NRMA video - looks like fitted to post 10my cars not earlier ones - maybe explains why a few people have had issues putting unleaded into their cars.

It is really a good idea I reckon, though I question the intelligence of anyone who would make the error of putting the wrong fuel in, given DIESEL is written like 3 times on the fuel filler, the filler cap and above.

Not to mention how people bang on about how fuel efficient their Diesel is, then forget when they fill up every 800kms! 2011 TDV6 Luxury - Baltic Blue, Ebony with Contrast Stitch, RSE, Stormers, Towpack.

Is called wives, mothers, girlfriends and day dreaming.

I know of a few people who have had it done to their cars via one one or the other.

@awd that's good to know. After reading this thread I went to look for the tool in my RRS and couldn't find it. Thought the previous owner had taken it with him. Seems not... Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
