Rear view cameras

Anybody tried those eBay rear cameras? They fit on one side of the number plate lights. Any good? Cheers.

About a year ago or so someone installed one of those and it worked great. I thinking even Produced different layout on the LCD and it was easier to follow the distance. Try searching it. Vadim A.

Pop over to the Disco 3 site and look for a sponsor HIDS4U.......they do a really neat package for £199 that includes a GVIF device to allow you to use the front screen for a further 4 inputs live a video feed from rear entertainment or better still a few extra camera, the device simply pugs into your sat nav DVD under the passenger seat so no messing around the rear of the dashboard.

Have a look here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic49789.h...mera%5C%22

Not a bad link http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic53320.h...mera%5C%22

Hope this helps

You don't need an interface with the RRS once the camera is fitted and enabled in the CCF file it should work ok unlike the D3 that will not work without a GVIF unit.

Flack...is that the case with any make of reverse camera? I'd like to fit one to my 08 SC but don't want all the grief and extra wiring associated with it.

What is CCF file?

Thx. Ra-Ro Sport Super Dooper Charged.

Yoou still need to wire the camera from back to front.

CCF file is the car configuration file with all the settings of the car stored in that the car reads from and knows what is fitted like sat nav , Bluetooth ect.

So in general... I can wire the camera 'from front to back' and then what? Is it a trip to the dealers to configure the CCF?

Which camera do you recommend? I'd like low-light, colour viewing etc...many thanks. Ra-Ro Sport Super Dooper Charged.
