Snorkel Now Available

Evening All,
This is mainly for Aus recipients as i am not sure of release in other places.
Or if it hasnt been alreadly released elsewhere, this is the part no & i assume as with the D3 the same part no. worldwide.
P/No. is ADL790020 stock to arrive end of week to dealers next week.

p.s. Will the site ever have an Australian section??
Wink

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

If you fit one don't even think about going deep wading with it fitted.................... it isn't waterproof and is carefully described as a "raised air intake" in the brochures! Basically it's a fancy dust trap! The D3 raised intake is the same, not waterproofed! The problem is the through panel bit I believe, it has no seals! Also having seen the D3 one, the quality is pretty cr*p and flimsy. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It was about AU$750 fitted, I asked about the rack and the protection plates, they were AU$1650 each (a bit much i thought) the rack does look good though! Ben

Off road tyres for 18's (original rims)

Hey Rangie, looks ok.

What tyres did you fit?

Been looking everywhere for an off road (say 60/40 off road) 260x60x18 or something close - very hard to find! (Already acquired a set of original rims.)

Mostly have found road tyres in 18's. 2011 RRS HSE TDV6 (Alaska/Ebony & Piano Black - Premium/Tow/Rear Lock Diff/Premium ICE/20" Stormers

United States 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Chawton White

These are some choices we have in North America for 18" All Terrain tyres. Nitto Terra Grapplers, 285/60R18. Sounds wide, but it fits the RRS wheel well no problem. A couple of rangerovers.net forum members have them and have been very happy with their on-road and off-road performance. The Terra Grappler is available in a 255/55R18 as well (which is the stock size for 18" wheels on the Sport, I believe) not as much sidewall but better than nothing. Nitto also makes the Dune Grappler in a 285/60R18 size, if your offroading is more hardcore and you care less about onroad performance. Also, look for General Tire Grabber AT2 255/60R18 (these should be available any day now in the US, don't know about Australia) or 255/55R18, available now. Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor, "coming soon" in a 265/60R18 size would be great - if Goodyear ever produces them as they have been promising for months.

I just purchased a set of 285/60R18 Pathfinder ATs from a US tyre shop chain called America's Tire (mounted on a set of Disco3 rims I got for cheap on eBay). Have yet to put them through the offroad paces, will do so in the next couple of weeks, but they look great and came highly recommended by other SUV and pickup trucks owners. But I think these are not available abroad.

Thank Umberto, as usual well informed and reliable.

Shall try to chase down a US importer. Have gone throough about 13 makers so far. This is my 5th 4x4 and 2nd LR (previous TD5 Disco) with specific off road wheeels and works a treat. As I pull a Tvan off road camper trailer, (http://www.tracktrailer.com/) have always found good tyres crucial to enjoying the off road travel especially on 'Gibber' type gravel roads outback.

Also am concerned not to change the overall wheel diameter too much. 255x55x18 is about 750mm's (dont know inches)

Cheers again - Geoff 2011 RRS HSE TDV6 (Alaska/Ebony & Piano Black - Premium/Tow/Rear Lock Diff/Premium ICE/20" Stormers
