Range Rover Diamond Cut Alloys

My new RRS arrives on Thursday.

I have taken the Diamond Cut alloys from the Land Rover options list.

Now I know that some of you on here spends days and £££££ detailing your vehicles, I actually spend time driving mine.

1. Are the standard Diamond Cut Alloys coated, ie. you could use standard cleaning products?

2. What would be a quick and effective cleaner for them that will keep the looks without hours of work. 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

1. Yes you could use normal products, there is no 'special' coating on them. Don't use anything too harsh such as 'Wonder Wheels' or strong cleaner though, thats sure to trash them.

2. Personally, as soon as you get them, I'd buy some Carlack and some FK1000P (or Collinite 845). Give them a good wash with some normal car shampoo and then give them a clean with the Carlack then seal with the Collinite or FK1000P. That way, you'll only need to give them a wipe round with a cloth come cleaning time for a good few months.

A more extreme (and better) solution would be Gtechniq C5, brilliant product, but you'll need better prep.

Regarding cleaning them, I'd use Wolf's Decon Gel, very safe on diamond cut wheels and will allow you to maintain them with the minimum of effort Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Don't kerb them though (my wife just did both nearside's!) as the restoration is not cheap - £380 for the pair as they have to be re-cut. No cheap quick repairs work unfortunately. '10 Range Rover Sport TDV8
