Your dealer told you fibs - they can make any colour from the colour chart at the scan of an order form barcode. They don't do batches of colours, every body in white goes into the paintshop as per order not by colour and the robots sort the rest out. Your dealer can change the colour/ spec up to 24 hours before build date, but most cannot be bothered to get down in front of their computer and do the business. If you are sure you want Bonatti then tell your dealer he's wrong and that he can change it. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Have you got dynamic pack fitted?

It is definitely worth considering as I have fitted Stormers to my non-DP HSE and the ride is VERY firm now! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Rereading your post, what delivery date have you been given?
If it is very close then he may be selling you a car that has already been built, and is in the Gaydon compound. If this is the case then, you will wait 3-4 months for a special order car, LR can sell every RRS's they can build. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Then I would suggest that your car hasn't yet been built so you need to find out the build date the dealer has been given and then make your changes asap!

Regarding the 20" wheels, take a read at SuperTrotters posts about running a non Dynamic Pack RRS with 20" Stormers..................... you may want to spec Dynamic Pack, which will also give you the Brembo Stoppers as well, basically for the price of a set of 20" wheels and tyres. ! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I'd agree with Tim and ST. Try driving a DR and non-DR back to back. The difference is quite marked, especially the braking. You also get 20" wheels into the price, which you could sell on ebay for the same price as a set of Stormer wheels and tyres.

Bob. RRS 4.2 S/C. Zermatt. Tints. Stormers. 150+ paint defects, wonkey bonnet, scratches, detached doorseal. suspension faults. To sum it up, a 60k pile of cr4p!

Having driven both, is the ride quality as marked as I think it is?

BTW, I've got beyond the whole firm ride thing and fallen in love with the car again! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Indeed, too late to change - however - the DP is over 4 TEUR here which is twice what I have found a set of stormers and tyres will cost me AND I still have the 19" to use in the winter. I know ST is right - without the DP, the ride will be hard...but opting out of my order to go for a MY07 would have meant January delivery and a price hike.

Mind you - there are a few other tweaks affecting the MY07 model that would have been nice...but, I'll get over it. 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE, Java/Ebony/Cherry, Privacy, Sunroof, PTI, Premium Sound, SatNav, Cold Climate, Tow kit, CarStyle coded grill and vents, Tasmods, Stormers, JE Exhaust, Autobiography badge
