2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

USB flash drive on 2008 TDV8

Hi Guys,
Just picked up my sport last Friday, what a great car, but really miss my music, as it has no USB port to plug in my flash drive. Does anyone know if there is a lead available to buy, that I can plug straight into a port on the stereo somewhere?? I have looked in the upper glove box and nothing there, all I can find is the 3.5mm jack on the rear of the centre console....Doh! it's a 58/ sept. 08 plate.
It would be good if someone know of a lead/device (must be cost effective, not £xxx's ).

In fairness, when the RRS was being designed such things probably weren't that common amongst the target audience. To add the facility midway through the life of the original version of the RRS was probably just not cost effective.

Although, having been fair to LR, one wonders why they thought to have a CD player that plays .mp3 but didn't think to include other methods. Perhaps the jack plug was the usual way at that time?

In answer to the OP, you could do what I do and have the multi-cd changer filled with mp3 CDs. Several albums per CD gives a reasonable amount of music without messing around plugging in other devices. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
