United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
It must be winter!!!

Had to take another trip to the tyre center today to get one of my almost new Scorpions replaced, its like pot hole city in our town so think this could be a regular trip.
Although at £300 a piece i dont want to be going back there too soon.

You would think that with all the tax that is being raised just through the inflated fuel duty we could have somewhere near flat roads !!!
Time to move to warmer climbs me thinks....! 2005 Rang Rover Supercharged
Loving every minute !

I have some good friends that work for local councils and I know for a fact councils put thousands aside for public claims. It's prob cheaper to do that than repair the pavements and roads lol. Take pics of the offending pot hole, it helps to have a tape measure so pics show how deep/big hole is then just write to the council and supply with pics and any costs and you'll be surprised what they will pay out for with little hassle. I've done it in the past. And believe me a new front wish bone, wheel and tyre for an M5 don't come cheap. Of cause it only needed a new tyre in the end but there you go! More money for more mods. Thumbs Up

I could be wrong, but I heard that they will only pay out if they are aware of the pothole and have shown negligence by not repairing it. I.e. if we didn't know about a pothole, how could we repair it.
Our local council has a web portal to report potholes, only reported a couple on there, but they seem to get repaired quite swiftly Shocked ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
MERCEDES GL350 - Metallic Navy Blue w/Grey interior

GOING: BMW F31 335D MSport+ xDrive Touring
GONE: Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE - Stornaway Grey w/Black Interior (wish we'd kept it Banging Head )
GONE: BMW F10 520D MSport - Carbon Black
GONE:MY12 RRS SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ivory/Grand Black Privacy glass

You maybe right. But if a pothole is big enough to cause a blow out then surely it's been neglected/overlooked. After all it must take time for a pot hole to grow and what size does it have to be to be a danger? At the end of the day I guess it shouldn't be there whatever size.

I tried and failed... wrote off an alloy and a tyre and the council's solicitors replied to my claim with "tough... we were not at fault"

Now have to look at the small claims court route.. RRS gone
