6 speed vs 8 speed

Just read a test of the mdl 12 RRS and the performance figures where no better than the 6 speed box,in fact the car was slightly slower. Reminds me of my first 4 speed 2.8 injection capri,it was much faster than the 5 speed i replaced it with. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

Do you have a link to the test Question
I didn't drive the 6 speed when I got mine, but I'm pretty sure the performance figures I've seen say 'on paper' that the 8 speed has better performance. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

On paper there is next to nothing in it, in realalty the 8 speed is much smoother.

The FFRR has the 4.4 engine, iam not talking about that. I dont have the link as it was in a european mag, but for sure its no faster , and i doubt its smoother as they six speed is really smooth as well. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

To be honest its in the garage and spotless. But any way the snow is about two and a half feet in front of the garage so i wont even bother. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.
