Watching iPhone content on TV

I have an iPhone 4s and would like to be able to connect it to my 4yr old LCD tv so I can watch BBC iplayer. ITV player and 4od on a 43 inch LCD rather than a small iPhone screen.

I have a HDMI connection. Scart connection and the 3 colour socket connection (or whatever it's called lol) on the back of the TV.

Has anyone done this and can you tell me what I might need and where I can get the right bit of kit to do it.
I have seen a few bits but they require the phone to be jail broken which I don't want to do.

Thanks in advance for any help. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

Think it only works on Jailbroken phones , even if you jailbreak your phone and download cydia and display out IIRC , you can always restore your phone back to normal via your comp which won't affect any warranty you may have on it

I stayed in a hotel last year and there was a small iPhone dock in front of the TV. I had a 3GS at the time and just stuck it in the dock and I was able to watch the media content on the TV. So was just looking for something similar. 2017 Range Rover Sport Autobiography

Apple do a connector that connects into your normal dock socket. It has both the dock socket and a HDMI socet on the other end, so you just connect a HDMI lead from that to the TV and hey presto, portable video player!

I've not used it on my phone as I don't tend to keep video on it, but it works a treat on the iPAD. Apple say it is compatible with the iPhone on their website:

Some players may not work with the HDMI connection though, the LoveFilm player for instance doesn't.

Poland 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

first you cannot jailbreak a5 devices so far (iphone 4s and ipad2), so this is not an option.
Iphone 4s with the 5+ software has an airplay mirror option (view exactly the same on tv as on iphone, not only playing media files) through apple tv, so this is the easiest way to do it.
if you decide to go cable way:
Apple Digital AV Adapter is a HDMI adapter, so the picture quality should be better than AV Composite cable

In Poland I use HBO GO on iphone and ipad and it does mirror screen through apple tv, but through cable only sound (even with mirroring on). My name: Patryk
